Stanley Zbiciak, age 87, of Caledonia, MI (formerly Grand Blanc, Michigan) passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011. Stanley will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Betty (Kekel) of 64 years. He is survived by his children, Chris (Carol) Zbiciak of Maui, Hawaii, Kathy (Ed) Belles of East Lansing, Michigan, Frank (Celeste) Zbiciak of Ormond Beach, Florida and Susan (Pete) Salhaney of Caledonia, Michigan, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Stanley was a WWII veteran and graduate engineer from General Motors Institute. He worked for Fisher Body I of Flint, Michigan as a Senior Production Engineer, retiring after 37 years. He was a life member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans, Knights of Columbus and The American Legion. Stanley also served as a catechist for 20 years for the Catholic Church. Stanley was devoted to his family, enjoyed a good game of cards, had a green thumb for gardening and could fix or repair anything. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Catholic Church, 9699 Kraft Ave., Caledonia, MI. The Family will meet with friends and relatives Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Ofield Funeral Home and again from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Contributions can be made to Faith Hospice or Holy Family Catholic Church, Caledonia, MI in Stanley's memory.
